My High School and College Football Jerseys
Looking through old photos, I happened to find pictures of my high school and college jerseys, taken in 2005.
In high school, we first bought a set of Italy jerseys. Later, around the winter break in the final half-year of senior year, when everyone's football level had finally improved enough that we wanted to play real matches, we organized another purchase and chose this Ajax kit. As for why we picked the relatively less common Ajax, I have long forgotten. Maybe we just liked that it felt distinctive. At the time I definitely did not know who Ajax's No. 8 was. I simply thought the number was lucky, so I picked it. My football level was decent enough then, and nobody argued with me over it.
The Argentina one was bought in my senior year at Peking University, when our Department of Computer Science team organized a group order. Why did I choose No. 14? Because my student number was 14. Simple as that.
